REOPENING THE GILLESPIE CENTRE – we are working towards the reopening and hope it won’t be too long before we can announce the date. In the interim the Management Team are working hard to ensure that we are compliant in all aspects of the business and ensure the safety of our staff team, volunteers, individuals and groups.
The Gillespie Centre Management Team are grateful to the Biggar Community Council Covid-19 Fund for their support in producing a Lockdown Recipe Book. Please share your recipes as soon as possible – details of where to send have been noted below:

Photographs and line drawings are also invited but not essential. We are also inviting short video clips of the recipe being created and captured on a mobile phone (please do this in landscape view). This should include footage of the ingredients and the final result. Videos should be sent via Wetransfer to Katie Maxfield at email@example.com Please contact Katie if you have any questions in respect of the video clips.
An exhibition of recipes will be organized when the Gillespie Centre reopens and a team of experts will decide on the final content of the Lockdown Book which will then be available for a donation to the Gillespie Centre. We reserve the right to use recipes, related illustrations and video clips in social media, print and to display at the Gillespie Centre. Please join us in producing a lasting reminder of how we enjoyed creating new and old recipes during this time of lockdown.

We are delighted to report that our upgrading has been completed and we look forward to seeing this accommodation well used and appreciated when the Gillespie Centre opens once again and we envisage this will be in the near future. Our thanks to the McCann Team and David Murray (Muz) for their hard work and willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ to bring this major project to fruition.
