We thought it might be helpful to share how the gifting of flowers works in Biggar Kirk and at the same time appeal for additional support to ensure we continue with this tradition. Flower Guild members receive money from our funds to buy flowers which they place in the Church ready for Sunday morning. After the Service, the flowers will be delivered to someone in the Biggar area bringing a double purpose with the flowers being appreciated during the Service...
As well as our Friendship & Fun group weoffer gatherings designed to help us understand how to support ourselves and others who are grieving either living losses or death. Our next sessions will begin after Easter. Each session will look at a specific challenge which you may be facing: elderly relatives who are beginning to need some additional care perhaps dementia; recent diagnosis of a life limiting illness; feeling the need to put your affairs in order; planning for a home rather than hospital death; feeling stuck...
Thank you to everyone who contributed knitted squares to create the most wonderful Christmas trees which have been really enjoyed by the community. Now the next stage of the work begins to create blankets which will be delivered in the near future to various orphanages in the Ukraine. A double thank-you to everyone involved.

Our garden team under the direction of Joanne Komer have been taking the first steps to restore the garden to allow us to grow herbs and salad during 2024 – thanks to the Komer family for not only donating time but organizing a digger which allowed the project to progress! We look forward to brighter weather to ‘dig in’ and make further progress!!
